This project started with exploring how and why we use calendars. Whether it's a paper calendar, a planner, digital app, or sticky notes, we're always thinking about what's coming up next in our day, week, month, etc. Most calendar apps follow a month by month, week by week framework and all of your upcoming events are typically laid out in a standard list format with very little visual hierarchy.
What if there was a calendar that helped users understand at a glance what the landscape of their day looks like, how many meetings or events they have and where they are in the day? Or helps users focus on what's coming up, rather than seeing what happened in the past?
